SUNDAY SERVICES
The parish of St Stephen and St Luke’s and the parish of St Michael’s
work in partnership as the Church of Ireland parishes in the Lower
Shankill in Belfast. Worship in St Stephen’s Church is at 11am and St
Michael’s Church is at 12pm on Sundays and a warm
welcome awaits.
St Stephen’s Church has undergone significant refurbishment in recent
years and the outside bears no resemblance to the inside – it’s well
worth a visit! It is a warm, comfortable, and welcoming space equipped
with all that is needed for modern-day worship.
On the first and third Sundays of the month, we have morning service.
On the second Sunday of the month, we celebrate Holy Communion and
on the fourth Sunday of the month, we have a very relaxed and
interactive service suitable for all ages to join in.
On the first and third Sunday evenings of the month at 7 pm we are
running ‘Prayer & Praise’, our current theme being ‘The Power of Christ’.
This is a reflective service with contemporary worship usually led by
members of the ‘Worship Academy’ from the Church of Ireland and
Methodist Chaplaincy at Queen’s University.
Refreshments are served at
this service.
